Thyroid Disorders/Neck Masses
Diseases of the thyroid gland are very common; the most common being an overactive gland (hyperthyroidism), an under-active gland (hypothyroidism), and thyroid enlargement (goiter). Treatments for thyroid disorders and neck masses may include medication and/or surgical removal, depending on the nature of your condition.

If you develop significant swelling in your neck or difficulty breathing or swallowing, call to set up an appointment. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, go to the nearest emergency room or call 911 for assistance.

Parathyroid Disorders
Elevated parathyroid levels may cause a calcium imbalance, which can be damaging to bone health. A parathyroid disorder is often suspected when routine lab studies demonstrate high calcium levels. Depending on the situation, specialized imaging, medical treatment, or removal of one or more parathyroid glands may be needed.

If you have had recent lab work showing elevated parathyroid or calcium levels, consult with Dr. Lee to decide which treatments will be best for you.
